LocationSnowmobiles are a way of life in Lapland and there is no more exhilarating way of exploring the wintery wilds than on your own machine. A carefully managed network of trails criss-cross the beautiful winter expanses of North West Finland.
AccommodationThe accommodation is split so you get the most from this trip. For the first night you will stay in a Scandinavian style hotel which is situated in its own grounds with restaurant, bar and all the activities actually begin from the hotel. The second night you will get to experience a night in an igloo - again this is in the hotel grounds.

Itinerary
Friday 04 December - Flights, Arrival and Welcome
You will fly from London to Kittila via Helsinki. (10.20-15.15/16.15-17.45). You will be transferred to the Hotel (about 1 hour 15 minutes) where you will be issued with your thermal clothing and have dinner in a traditional wooden kota beside a frozen river.
Saturday 05 December - Snowmobile Safari
After breakfast, you will meet the guide and recieve tuition on how to control your snowmobiles before you set off on a 50 km safari where you discover the beauty of this area. Lunch will be on the trail and then you will return to the hotel where there will be time for a sauna and a dip in the ouhot tub - a great place to see the Northern Lights! Dinner will be in the hotel restaurant then you will spend the night in an igloo in the hotel grounds.
Sunday 06 December - Husky Safari and Depart
After breakfast, you will meet the huskies and receive tuition on how to handle the team before you set off on a 9 km safari. There will be a stop for a hot drink in the way then you will return to the hotel to check out. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight home (13.20 - 14.45/16.00 - 17.10).
